Children’s favorite slide style

Slide is always children’s favorite, carrying the memory of childhood generations. I still remember when I was a child, although there was no slide at that time, any concrete steep slope that children could find could be used as a slide. The children sprinkle some sand on the cement steep slope and squat down to slide. The happiness is no less than today’s slide.

Nowadays, with the development of the new era, all kinds of slides are constantly emerging, and the styles of slides are constantly changing, but what will not change is the children’s enthusiasm for slides. So, what are the popular slide styles nowadays?

Outdoor combination slide

There are two kinds of outdoor combination slides: plastic combination slide and wood combination slide. It is a comprehensive children’s activity center composed of stair, climbing wall, drilling hole, platform, slide and other projects, which is equivalent to a small children’s theme park. The combination slide has been highly praised by kindergartens, which can be said to be the standard configuration of kindergartens.

Devil slide

Devil slide is an extension of traditional slide in slope and length. Compared with the traditional slide, the devil slide has larger slope, longer length and higher difficulty, so it is more exciting and challenging. In recent years, the devil slide in the entertainment equipment market to grab the limelight, more and more children’s theme park operators favor and pursuit it.

Stainless steel slide

Stainless steel slide is a major breakthrough in the shape and length of slide, including full cylinder slide, half cylinder slide, straight slide, spiral s slide, cross twist spiral and customized ramp slide according to the terrain. The style is more abundant and the shape is more novel. They are one of the amusement projects introduced by various high-end communities. In the pursuit of differentiation today, stainless steel slide is bound to lead the trend of slide in the future.

Plastic slide in children’s indoor paradise

Plastic slide is the most important part of children’s indoor park. It is generally located in the center of the whole children’s theme park and forms the best partner with the ocean ball pool. In the modeling, three parallel ladders are the main form. Of course, there’s also a single spiral slide that connects to the building block pool. This kind of slide generally has smaller slope and lower difficulty, which is more suitable for preschool children and some beginners.

Open slide in a million ocean ball pool

The open skateboard is the standard in the million ocean ball pool. This kind of design without handrails increases the difficulty of the slide. For children, this kind of slide is more exciting and challenging.

Skateboarding can accommodate multiple children to slide together at the same time, which can help those timid children overcome their fear. At the same time, for those kids who like to follow the trend and join in the fun, sliding together with other children can also add happiness to their slide experience.

The advantage of Motor-less Children’s play equipment

Motor-less play equipment, as the name suggests, are relatively powered play equipment, who not require electricity or any energy to power them. The advantages, I think, are threefold:

1.The first is energy efficiency.

If you Google “How much does it cost Disney to run Disneyland per day? ”, there is one answer on Quora: $114 million a day, for example, California Adventure and Downtown Disney. Aside from Labor and other costs, I believe that a large part of cost is energy; by contrast, the motor-less activities like climbing net, slide, swinging, and so on, require only the participant’s personal energy.

2.The second is the difference between active and passive entertainment.

Whether it is a flying wheel or a merry-go-round, a person is passively placed in the equipment and does not have the right to choose how to move. However, there are many ways to play on power-less facilities such as swings and slides. Different Ages, different moods, different time periods, children can create a variety of play, play the process will also have more interaction between children. Active and passive entertainment will lead to a different frequency of use, a non-powered activity space, can play every day, from morning to night play; On the other hand, large-scale amusement parks should be played several times a year should be considered high frequency (of course, there are large venues, small number, difficult to reach and other factors) , after all, the extreme stimulation should not be frequent and not a daily.

3.And finally is malleable.

Since no need for large-scale equipment and power, the unpowered play equipment venues are flexible and easy to integrate with other venues, such as community space, schools, street corner green areas, shopping mall, country parks, etc. .

Outside Play

Have you ever thought to yourself how nice it would be to go back to the time when technology wasn’t the central focus of our children’s lives? Do you remember when children were playing outside until dark with the neighborhood kids? In this day and age, you may find it difficult to pull your children away from phones, tablets, and TV screens. Take the initiative this spring to get your whole family outside and enjoying the fresh air!

Take Walks After Dinner

Get your family away from the screen, start taking a walk after dinner. To ease into this new activity, we recommend going once a week or making it part of your weekend traditions, when you may have some more free time. In the summer time, you can increase the frequency of walks after dinner since there is no worry of finishing up homework before the next school day. This is also a great time to get your kids to use their bikes, scooters, roller blades, and skate boards some more!

Explore Nature

Take a step on the wild side! You don’t have to go as extreme as going on a safari, but you can explore nature locally and have it be an active, educational, and fun experience for the family. Not sure where to start? There are more natural preserves and conservatories around you than you think! Consider making a checklist of all the parks in your area and visiting each of them. Make sure you do your research before you go to figure out what is available at the park. Each park is different so you may find yourself walking, hiking, biking, or enjoying other activities or events. Regardless of what activities are available, sometimes it’s nice to just enjoy nature. Make sure you take time to collect any documentation the parks or conservatories have so that you can learn more about the history of the park and of the area.

Add a Playset to Your Backyard

While going to a park is a great way to get your family outside, sometimes it’s easier to stay at home. Adding a playset to your backyard can be a convenient way to get your children playing outside without having to leave. A playset can be used all year-round, but the real fun starts at the beginning of spring! By having a swing set in your backyard, you are giving the children a chance to make childhood memories and enhance their gross motor skills. Introduce your children to the simple game of cops and robbers or buy extra accessories to increase the number of activities on your swing set. The extra additions can help to keep the kids entertained and can also extend the life of your playground.

If you’re installing your swing set yourself, we encourage you to make the process of building it a family event. This will help the children see the fruits of their labor and make them value having a swing set much more.

Plant a Garden

Planting and maintaining a garden is the gift that keeps on giving! Get together as a family to figure out what kind of vegetables or flowers you would like to plant and buy the seeds at the store. When it comes time to finally plant, you can place the seeds in your flower bed if you do not have space for an actual garden in your yard. Your children will love watching the plants grow and your wallet may even thank you too!

It may be hard to get your children outside and moving with all of the different types of entertainment available these days. By adapting a few of these activities, your family will be up and moving in no time!

How to improve safety at your playground

From post-installation inspections to ensuring that children’s attire doesn’t put them at risk,we can do a lot to make your outdoor play areas as safe as they can possibly be. Now share 5 Tips for Improving Safety at Your Playground.

1. Maintain your protective surfacing
Did you know that 80% of injuries on playgrounds are due to falls to the surfacing? Many of these injuries can be prevented through proper maintenance of the playground surfacing.

If you have a loose fill surface such as engineered wood fiber, be sure a minimum depth of 12 inches of loose material is present at all times. Protective surfacing should be continuously replenished and/or redistributed in high use areas such as at the end of slides, sliding poles or under swings. You can also consider installing wear mats in high use areas to ensure that you always have an adequate amount of surfacing in these areas. If you have a unitary surfacing such as poured-in-place rubber or rubber tiles, make sure to keep these surfaces clean of contaminants. Dirt or other debris can impact their resilience and can adversely affect the manufacturer’s warranty.

2. Watch out for drawstrings
Entanglements are one of the top hazards on playgrounds. These have occurred on swing top rails, slides and sliding poles either from drawstrings on clothing or foreign objects such as scarves, skipping ropes, bungee cords, dog leashes or lanyards that got caught in or were tied to the playgrounds. Always make sure that children do not have on any loose belts, straps, mitten strings, scarves or drawstrings that could get caught on play equipment. Ensure that children don’t have a house key attached to a lanyard around their neck when playing on the equipment.

3. Remove bike helmets
This seems counter-intuitive because if children wear bike helmets to protect their heads while on their bikes, would it not help them to have the helmet on if they fall off the playground equipment? Not necessarily and in fact, helmets may pose an unforeseen risk. What many people don’t realize is that the openings in play equipment are based on the average size of a child’s head and torso. Openings on a playground are designed to be large enough to allow both the head and body of a child to enter, or small enough that neither the head nor body can enter. When you add the extra dimension of a helmet, the opening may now be too small to allow the head to pass through.

4. Inform with proper signage
Each playspace has a number of signage requirements that help keep your audience informed about who owns the park and also what age each piece of equipment has been designed for. It’s the manufacturer’s responsibility to provide signs with their contact information, the date the equipment was manufactured as well as what age the equipment has been designed for. Ensure that these age signs get posted on the equipment where they will be seen.

5. Offer some coverage
Adding shade to your playground helps to make it more of a destination area and gives it a community feel. Shade allows not only the caregivers but the children to get out of the hot sun and take a break, have a snack or a drink of water before getting back out to the playground. Consider benches, litter receptacles and other amenities that would encourage visitors to stay awhile longer and keep playing.
